If you have a wagon and scroll through Instagram on the regular, you probably have seen or follow a lad by the name of Jake Hedrington, the owner of this World Rally Blue 2005 Subaru WRX wagon.  Jake has owned his car for about 7 months now, and before this he had a super clean Bugeye wagon on white Fifteen52 Tarmacs.  He says, “I am a wagon/hatch kind of guy, so this is the perfect car for me.”

He purchased his past and current Subarus for the love of how much of an aftermarket support they have.  He got this wagon with the intention to “mod the piss out of it,” which we can fully relate to!  He goes on to say “a Subaru is a great base to just do that.  I also can’t forget the Boxer rumble.”  The Subaru community was a huge part in Jake’s decision to go forth with getting into these cars, and as he puts it, “very friendly and helpful.”  Currently Jake’s WRX wagon has a handful of modifications, one of the major ones being the wheels.

A gorgeous set of 18″x10″ Work VS-XXs equipped with white faces, 4″ chrome lips and gold hardware.  The VS-XX is definitely a classic mesh-style JDM wheel that works magnificently and gives the car style for miles.  To add to that, Jake has AirLift Performance bags that gives him the functionality that the static boys envy.  Adding to the list, Jake has a JDM STi front end, paint matched S2 Auto Designs front lip, rear spats, a Perrin turbo-back exhaust linked up to some staggered A-Spec blast pipes, and a Cobb Stage 2 tune.

Jake has the idea of how to set up a tasteful and well-executed WRX wagon that we love.  In the future he hopes to swap in a version 7 JDM STi engine, along with a few other cosmetic goodies such as: side skirt extensions, a rear diffuser, a full wrap, and the possibility of rebuilding the VS-XXs to go even wider.  To follow along with Jake and his awesome wagon, check him out at @jakehedrington on Instagram to see more.  Thanks, Jake for letting us feature you as our Driver of the Day!
